Management

The CFS Group provides Hotel Management for all kinds of cruise
& river ships as well as for ferries.

HOTEL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT
The Hotel Management Department is overall in charge for the
Hotel Operation on board the vessel and is responsible to ensure
that defined quality standards are performed throughout all hotel
departments and that at the same time all required Health,
Hygiene and Safety regulations are met. Those standards are
achieved by following defined inspection schedules and audits and
by maintaining a “two-way” communication with all passengers
and crew on board.

The Hotel Management Department is supported by:

Financial Management
-Handling of all on board funds
-Auditing of all on board revenue outlets
-Auditing of all on board hotel and concessionaire cost points
-Preparation of on board payroll
-Authorization and controlling of Disbursement Accounts
-Collection of all on board revenues
-Clearance and authorization of credit cards
-Preparation of account statements for passenger and crew

Pursers / Reception
-Providing of information and assistance to the passengers
-Handling of passenger requests
-Coordination of hotel maintenance
-Operating a exchange office if required
-Registering of credit cards
-Handling of VIP requests
-Selling of post cards, stamps, special occasion packages etc.
-Ship clearance in cooperation with the Deck Department
-On board embarkation and debarkation arrangements
-Handling of Lost and Found Items
-Handling with Lost and Damaged Luggage
-Support and maintenance of IT systems
-Handling and selling of Safety Deposit boxes if available

HOUSEKEEPING
The Housekeeping Department is in charge for the cleanliness of
all passenger, officer and staff cabins as well as for all non-
technical passenger and crew areas.

The Housekeeping Department is split into below sub
departments with the following key responsibilities:

Cabin Service
-Cleaning of all passenger, officer and staff cabins
-Welcome amenities as agreed with the Owners
-Delivery of special items/gifts (to be agreed with owner) to cabins
-Providing and maintaining all bed linen, towels and amenities
-Changing all bed linen every 3 days or earlier if soiled or agreed
-Distributing information and printed materials
-Guiding and assisting passengers during embarkation
-Delivering passenger luggage to all passenger cabins

Public Areas
-Cleaning of all public areas and lounges
-Frequent service and cleanliness of all public toilets
-Cleaning of all non-technical crew areas
-Providing towels to the pool and open deck areas
-Shampooing of carpets
-Maintaining of flowers and plants in public areas

Laundry
-Cleaning of all linen on board
-Cleaning of uniforms
-Providing chargeable laundry service
-Providing chargeable ironing service

Room Service
-Subject to facilities provided on board
-Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and/or all day Room Service

FOOD & BEVERAGE
The Food & Beverage Department is in charge of all food
production and service on board the vessel and these services
are performed by sub-departments with following key
responsibilities:

Bars / Wine Cellars
-Beverage in Bars & Dining Room
-24 hours Beverage available if required
-Opening times to be discussed and agreed with owners
-All-inclusive beverage will include known brand names
-All-inclusive packages can be offered
-Service of chargeable “Premium Wines”
-Hosting of bar and wine lectures and demonstrations
-To provide Captain Cocktails
-To provide bar lists and wine menus
-To provide all consumables for the bar department
-To prepare special promotions and activities

Stores and Provisions
-Handling of Food, Beverage and Hotel Store
-Preparation of orders
-Receiving and loading of goods
-Ordering and handling of all Stationary, Consumables,
Equipment,  Utensils, Chemicals, Linen, Uniforms etc.
-Arranging outside contractors for maintenance contracts

Restaurants
-Breakfast, Lunch and dinner sit-down service in the Restaurant
-Breakfast, Lunch and dinner buffet services if required
-Service of Early-Bird Breakfast, mid-morning bouillon snack,
Teatime, Aperitif Snacks and Midnight Buffets/Snacks
-Maintaining of all china, cutlery, table cloth, utensils and glassware
-Welcome and Farewell Gala Dinners
-Themed Dinners linking with Entertainment activities and Shows
-Food Service performed by Service Stewards and Busboys
-Delivery of cakes or special items for special occasion
-Serving and special treating of children and teenagers
-Service of special menus for Captains and Hosting Tables
-Printing of Dining Room Menus
-Service of canapés and snacks during cocktail parties

Food Production
-Preparation of all passenger and crew food
-Service and assistance for passengers during buffet services
-Preparation of special passenger food requests
-Preparation of all menus for passenger and crew
-Preparation of 2 gala dinners per week
